He believes the most important aspect of therapy is building a trusting, open relationship and prides himself on his ability to connect with clients who haven’t clicked with therapists in the past. He considers himself a collaborator, working alongside clients to help them develop self-understanding and to help them make the changes they envision.
As a parent himself, Kevin knows this is a challenging time to be growing up and to be raising children. Whether you’re looking for help managing anxiety, navigating life changes, improving relationships, or regulating emotions, or if you or your child have just been feeling “off” and think it might be helpful to talk to a professional, Kevin provides a non-judgmental space and a deep well of patience. He takes a holistic view of each client and recognizes the interplay between mental health and physical health, including sleep, diet, and exercise. He tailors his approach to fit each client’s strengths, preferences, and goals, incorporating elements of evidence-based practices such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT). He also incorporates humor and games, particularly with children and adolescents.
Prior to receiving a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University, Kevin spent 20 years working as a television producer in New York City.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_single_image image=”2843″ img_size=”full” alignment=”right” style=”vc_box_border” border_color=”chino”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
