Let's talk

Personal Statement:
Danielle knew this field of work was a passion from a young teenager, working at part-time jobs in a customer service setting. Danielle found it rewarding to learn about people’s stories, how they got to where they are and their goals for the future. She enjoys rooting for her clients and celebrating their wins alongside them. Danielle believes a strong therapeutic alliance is built from having a nonjudgmental and collaborative space for her clients. Her approach includes genuine empathy with a combination of lighthearted humor for clients to feel comfortable throughout the process. Danielle guides clients through the process by exploring ways to accept the moment, gain insight to what can and cannot be controlled, and how to manage emotions effectively.

Danielle began her career working with children, adolescents and families in residential treatment settings. She’s helped clients navigate life adjustments and transitions, self-esteem, behavior/interpersonal challenges and trauma. Danielle has further experience in private practice settings, working with adolescents, young adults and adulthood, treating a variety of diagnoses. She focuses her sessions on alleviating symptoms, managing academic/career/family stress, improving emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills. For minors, Danielle works collaboratively with parents, while fostering a safe space for the individual client. An important part of treatment will be to help the client identify/reframe negative thought patterns and explore coping skills that align with their interests. Danielle trusts in building mastery, by encouraging the client to do what they love over and over again, improving sense of purpose and self-love.

“Today will be what it is. I will be who I am. And there will be beauty in both.”
