I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist with expertise in children and adolescents. I also have training and experience and greatly enjoy working with adults.
Personal statement:
I have been a practicing psychologist in a range of settings since 2007 when I earned my doctoral degree. I love to work therapeutically with people of all ages including adults, young adults, children, adolescents, and their families. I take a strength based approach in order to help clients see their own personal capacities and specialness. I enjoy helping families overcome behavioral and relationship challenges with their children through developing increased understanding and insight combined with an array of new practical strategies. I have special interest in supporting individuals with complex medical conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and chronic pain disorders. While I strongly emphasize the use of evidence based practices which are tailored for each individual, building a strong bond and therapeutic relationship is at the heart of all my work. I went into the field of psychology because of a long standing, innate passion for helping others feel good. Nothing is more motivating than knowing my work has made a difference for one individual and family at a time.
