Rachel Liebman is a licensed mental health counselor who uses evidence-based therapies to help her clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma histories, and relational difficulties.
I am a licensed mental health counselor specializing in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working in mental health clinics, domestic violence shelters and agencies, and schools. I have training in several modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, exposure therapy, non-directive play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy; I also completed a post-graduate training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders from the Postpartum Stress Center in Pennsylvania. I focus on helping clients develop skills such as effective coping techniques, emotion regulation, and a mind-body connection, while using a strength-based lens to help clients feel empowered to engage in self-care and self-acceptance. I believe a supportive, accepting therapeutic environment is the key to a client’s personal growth and change.
