Personal statement:

I am a bilingual (Spanish) postdoctoral psychotherapist specializing in working with children, adolescents, teens and their families. My greatest passion is working with youth, providing an authentic connection and supporting them through adversity and life changes. I have worked in an array of settings including community agencies, psychological diagnostic centers, brain trauma rehabilitation facilities, mobile crisis services for at-risk youth and child welfare institutions. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood dysregulation, adjustment related challenges, self-esteem and trauma. I use an eclectic approach to treatment that includes evidenced-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) strategies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Qualifications

Master’s (M.A.) and Doctorate (Psy.D) degrees in Counseling Psychology from Felician University. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey since .
