Varsha Bhatnagar PsyD

Varsha is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. She holds her Doctorate in School and Clinical Psychology from Pace Univerisity and is a Licensed Psychologist in New York State.

Drawing from a breadth of experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, autism, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, impulse control, and attentional difficulties, she ensures that each and every client feels understood in their most vulnerable moments. She takes a holisitic and creative approach centered around each client’s individual needs, establishing a therapeutic relationship based on cultural sensitivity, authenticity, and a strengths based framework.

She also has hands-on clinical experience supporting clients navigating school adjustment challenges, social interactions, bullying, life transitions, maternal health, parenthood, stress management, self-compassion and self discovery. This is through administering therapeutic interventions which integrate principles of evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play therapy, Art therapy, and Interpersonal therapy.

Varsha believes that everyone deserves to be whole, resilient and equipped to build the quality of life they desire. During her time providing volunteer care at hospice and crisis hotline, she developed a deep rooted understanding of the power of being human and the importance of mental health on quality of life; her understanding of this only grew as she pursued her doctoral studies.

Humbled to serve her community, she has an unwavering commitment to deliver compassionate and effective therapy for every client under her care.
